A fever is considered a temperature of 100.4°F (38°C) or higher. It is important to see a doctor immediately when a fever lasts longer than a few days, is accompanied by other symptoms, or is abnormally high. A temperature of 103°F (39.4°C) or higher is considered a severe fever that requires medical attention.
High fever: Higher than 39 C
Fever: 38C or higher
Normal: 35.4C – 37.4C
Hypothermia: Lower than 35.5 C
PS: Although a thermometer might read below 38C, symptoms such as feeling hot or shivery are indicators that you have high temperature.
