Studies that have been carried out reinforce the idea that proximity to water – whether rivers or even fountains, but especially the sea – has an extremely positive impact on our physical and mental well-being.
In addition to coastal areas having lower levels of pollution and higher levels of light, it is also concluded that people who live close to water tend to be more physically active (practicing water sports or even finding greater pleasure in hiking or cycling).
The incredible connection with water and all the surrounding nature has the real ability to “cleanse and tidy up” minds. In addition to the calming effect, they can slow down the heart rate, lower blood pressure, reduce stress hormones, as if it were a magic potion.
Your mental health is non-negotiable. Allow yourself to slow down, contemplate and dive in, as many times as you need!
